Its supplements may help lower cortisol levels in chronically stressed individuals. It may help reduce depression. It has been shown to increase muscle mass, reduce body fat, and increase strength in men. It may help reduce the risk of heart disease by decreasing cholesterol and triglyceride levels. It supplements may improve brain function, memory and the ability to perform tasks. Although Ashwagandha is safe for most people, specific individuals should not use it unless authorized by their healthcare provider.
