  • How do I submit my manuscripts?

  • The manuscripts can be submitted through e-mail at [email protected] or can be submitted through Quick Submission Form. We do not accept hard copies.

  • What is Xpress publishing?

  • e-Book/online soft book creation and distribution is available in the Publishing mode and can be taken as a fastest service of publication if you choose to publish using the Xpress publishing platform. No printed copies will be provided in such case.

  • What is an ISBN?

  • ISBN stands for 'International Standard Book Number'. It's basically a 13 digit identification number that book sellers and libraries use to identify books or other publications. A separate ISBN is assigned for Paperback, Hardcover and e-Book versions of your book.

  • What are the packages for self publishing?

  • There are various publishing packages provided by BIOTICA. You can check them from Publication Package page. There are two major costs associated with any book, the pre-publishing cost and the printing cost. We charge you only for the services we offer and printing charge. You are free to choose from any of our publishing plans.

  • Who owns the rights to my book?

  • Author maintains the full rights to his book! We exist to help you to get ISBN and publish the content.

  • Do I need to come to the office of BIOTICA for signing the agreement?

  • We understand that it is not possible for everyone to visit us, since authors can be from any corner of the globe. So, the agreement will be sent to the author by mail. However, if someone wishes to visit the office, the doors are always open.

  • When will be the agreement made?

  • Since agreement is generally made when the terms and conditions are final, we make the agreement before the payment of publication charges.

  • How many copies of my book will you provide?

  • It depends on the package you have selected.

  • How many copies of my book will you provide?

  • The inventory is Printed-On-Demand (POD) based.

  • How many books will I sell?

  • Some authors sell one or two copies, some sell thousands. All our channels should be treated as distribution platforms, not sales platforms. Your book may be available via all our distribution partners, but in order to sell copies you should consider ways to promote or market it.

  • Who sets the price of my book?

  • The price of the book is set by us with the due consent of the author. The selling price of a book is dependent on its production cost. The production cost of your book depends on the Number of Pages, Book Format, Book Size & Book Type. With this, you can set the retail price of your book and ascertain the earnings that you would receive on sale of every copy.

  • Will the cover of my book be designed by my consent?

  • We have a full team of designers ready to support the authors. The cover will be designed with full consent of the author.

  • How often will I get the sales report of my book?

  • We provide sales report on the last working day of the financial year i.e. 31st March.

  • What is the system for the royalty payment? How frequent will it be paid?

  • The royalty will be transferred to your bank account and it will be paid yearly. You are required to submit a bank account during the publishing process.

  • Will I receive post publishing support?

  • We strive to keep all our authors completely satisfied with our services. You will receive support from our Author Support Team for all your post publishing queries over e-mail, or by other means as applicable.

  • Where can I find good images to create my own cover design?

  • It’s very important to source copyright-free images to create the cover of the book. If you’re looking for free sources of copyright-free images you can try a Google Image search with the filter ‘Labelled for reuse with modification’ turned on or sites like pexels.com, unsplash.com, pixabay.com and stocksnap.io. But make sure you check the licensing of each photo. You may be required to attribute the source in your book.

  • How can we start a new journal?

  • To launch a new journal or to host an existing journal contact through e-mail [email protected]

  • What about Plagiarism?

  • Plagiarism is when you use the work of someone else without giving them credit. Plagiarism in academic writing is using someone else's words, ideas, or information without giving credit to the source. Manuscripts submitted here for publication undergo mandatory plagiarism tests by standard software.

  • How are Author Earnings calculated for print books?

  • Profit is calculated as the difference between the MRP and expenses incurred during the production and distribution of the book.
    Profit = MRP – Expenses (Distribution Cost + Production Cost).

  • How are Author Earnings calculated for online soft/e-books?

  • Profit is calculated as the difference between the MRP and expenses incurred during the production (designing/type setting/formatting/plagiarism check/DOI) and distribution of the book.
    Profit = MRP – Expenses (Distribution Cost + Production Cost).
